Fractal Publishing is looking for collections of poetry, which were unfashionable in the twentieth century, perhaps due to traditional use of rhyme and metre.
We are doing a series entitled "Neglected Voices". Our first book, "Winter Jasmine", by Effie M. Roberts, was published in 100 limited edition, letterpress copies in April 2005.
The book is a journal, all written in poetry, during the Second World War.
Editor, Philippa Roberts, says, "It is often humorous and sometimes sad, and reflects a lot about women's lives at that time".
A sequel to "Winter Jasmine", entitled "The Golden Glory has Fled" was published in August 2005, also in 100 limited edition, letterpress copies.
A 64page litho edition has just been released. This is entitled "A Wartime Poetry Journal", and contains a selection of poems from the other two books. It is a beautiful book with Effie's photo on the cover, but is suitable for those on a tighter budget.
All books can be ordered direct from us, see OUT NOW!
